Abstract

The author compared 279 cases of choiecystectomy who under went a sergical
operation in local clinics in Chinju - shi from January, 1975 till June, 1980 (Report 1 ) with 473 cases who did form July, 1980 till December, 1985 ( Report 2 ), and analysed statistically.
The results were as follows:
1. According to the Report I, the cases of female were 4.9 times as many as that of male, and according to the Roport I, the cases of male were 223 (47%) and that of female were 250 ( 53 % ), but according to both Reports,the number of male cases increased.
2. In the distribution of the age, according to the Report I, the cases of forties, thirties and fifties showed those symptoms in that order, but according to the Report IJ, those of fifties, forties and sixties did in that order.
The age group of falling till became older
3. The most frequent causative factor was parasite ( 18.8 % ), but this decreases in comparing in with that of the Report I ( 39.9 % ), the next factor was liver, gall bladder and bile ducts, and the factors of 14 cases were cyst and tumor.
4. In the distribution of the area, the cases from Chinju - shi and its surrounding countrysides ( Chinyang - gun, Sach¢¥on - gun, Hadong - gun and Sanch¢¥ong - gun ) were 77.7 % of all.
This is similar to that of the Repors I.( 78.5 % )
